Today was awesome! We breastfed a little bit in the wee hours of the morning and then later went to the mall and gave Oliver some breastmilk in a bottle while we were there. It wasn't enough, so he got hungry again really fast and we headed in for my appt with the Lactation Consultant because I figured this was my last chance to have an LC appt before I'm on my own with two kids and probably won't get a chance to go back by for a while...
Well, while we were there, we weighed Oliver and he is up to 8 lbs. 2 oz.! Which I was happy about! And then we started to try to breastfeed and he did AWESOME! He took in 2 OUNCES!! Which is just awesome for him! I couldn't believe it, I was just thinking of ways that the data could somehow be wrong on the scale or something, but the numbers don't lie! And he's been snoozing ever since so that makes me think he's not hungry anymore. :D I am just so happy, it was so nice just to have a good experience with breastfeeding. Hopefully, this is the start of things moving in the right direction. Another plus, I was able to use the flexible spending acct for some Motherlove More Milk herbal supplement that does not contain fenugreek! And tonight is date night at the church so, I am so loving this day!!!!
